Itinerary
• Get to know your local, expert guide. Learn about the tour plan for the day.
• Relax and enjoy the narrative as you head east into the San Joaquin valley.
• Make a brief rest stop. Gather snacks and perhaps a bag lunch for the park.
• Discover the rich history of the Sierra Nevada foothills and its gold country.
• Make the climb toward Yosemite National Park
Enter Yosemite National Park.
• Weather permitting, disembark and hit the trail for an inspired hike to the Tuolumne Giant Sequoia grove (from October to May this stop may need to be skipped). It is a challenging uphill hike – take it slow.
• Hug a tree!
• Have your breath taken away by Bridalveil Falls, El Capitanand Half Dome.
• Get snap-happy with your camera or phone at Inspiration Point (aka Tunnel View)
• Free time in Yosemite Valley.
• Visit the gift shops, have lunch or visit the Swinging Bridge.
• Take a hike to Yosemite Falls, the tallest waterfall in North America.
• Take a shuttle to the Majestic (former Ahwahnee) Hotel
• Pinch yourself –that was real!
• Re-board the vehicle and make a couple more photo stops as we exit the park.
• Turn west and descend from the Sierras back toward San Francisco
• Stop for a break, a stretch and a bite to eat.
• On clear days, watch the sun set into California’s golden hills.
